Our winding team provide full turnkey transformer rewinds solutions. With experience in rewinding and repairing transformers since 1982 we rewind transformers, and can reverse engineer damaged transformers. This means we can manufacture new transformers which are past being rewound.

Design
R Baker (Electrical) Ltd specialise in the design and manufacture of wound products. Our technical team have a wealth of experience working with transformers, chokes, coils or reactors. This is includes designing one off items for unique projects to mass production.
Manufacture
Our wound products are manufactured using the highest of quality of materials. Each item is manufactured according to ISO 9000 standards and is CE marked. All manufacturing is conducted within the UK at our manufacturing site in Liverpool.
Prototype
Prototypes are often used for unique one off projects. We have a wealth of experience working with universities and test facilities to offer specialist solutions. Prototypes offer ensure functionality testing can be completed before going into production.
After sales
All our manufactured or rewound products come with a 12 month warranty. Our after sales can offer installation support and advice. Our engineers are on hand from design through to installation and operation.
Overhaul & Rewind
Wound components can fail at anytime for many reasons. Most of the time these items are critical for your operations. This is the reason we offer a comprehensive rewind and overhaul service. This can be 24 hour turnaround when required.

Do we offer a coil rewind service?
Our team have an in-depth understanding of different commercial applications of electro-magnetic coils, therefore enabling us to rewind and manufacture to any specification you may require. Our technical team also reverse engineer damaged if the item is past being rewound. Our winding facility is equipped with the latest technology and winding machines. We work with some of the biggest UK blue chip companies, offering a precision winding service for a range of applications.
What size transformer do you manufacture up to?
Our facilities allow us to rewind transformers damaged up to 500kVA. Also; our transformer rewind service is available 7 days a week on request.
Do you offer free advice?
We support customers from across all sectors; including rail, offshore and defence. We offer free technical advice regardless of if you are a customer or not. We want to be your first point of call for all your technical advice.
Reactor and choke windings
R Baker (Electrical) Ltd design and manufacture a full range of reactors, inductors, filters and DC chokes. Our designs include conventional silicon steel cores as well as amorphous metal cores for lowest losses. Our facilities for toroidal winding and specialist equipment allow winding of heavy conductor material to cope with the high currents demanded by many modern applications.
