Our PAT Testing call out service is £57.00 for local jobs in Merseyside. This includes the first 25 items, with prices starting from 75p each per additional item.
Your Safety Obligations
The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury, is maintained in a safe condition. However, the regulations do not specify what needs to be done, by whom or how frequently. PAT Testing is simple and cheap way to achieve this.

Booking an appointment is easy. You can email mail@rbaker.co.uk or call 0151 486 6760 to arrange an appointment. We will ask for a brief number of items and your location. This is so that we can offer you the correct length of appointment to ensure all items are tested.
Drop in Service Price
The drop in service offers a while you wait service. If you have less than 15 items we have a one off charge of £32.50 for up to 15 items.
Same Day Compliance
Our engineers record your testing results on-site for a fast and efficient service. This means our testing is consistent, streamlined, and accurate which ensures you are compliant the same day as the testing is carried out. You will receive both assist list and certificate when payment is received.

What is PAT Testing?
PAT Testing is the term used to describe the process of testing portable electrical appliances. As a business or employer you have a duty to prevent any harm that could affect your employees and customers.
Most electrical appliances need a combined formal visual test and inspection every 12 months. However; this can vary depending on the usage of the appliance. Also, testing should only be carried out by a competent person. PAT Testing is one of the ways you can comply with this obligation in a cheap and simple way.

Where are we based?
Our team are based in Speke, Liverpool. However; our engineers cover the whole of Merseyside.
Will all items be tested?
Our PAT Testing procedure is conducted in a formal and organised way. This ensure that tests are carried out on all equipment. Once testing is complete you will be issued with a full assist list, with each item being numbered.
How long does it take?
Depending on quantities and different work placement environments, PAT Testing can take anything from a few hours to a few weeks. We aim to test between 175 and 250 items a day.
Expiry of PAT Test cert
PAT Testing is often carried out on an annual basis; however this will be determined by the usage.
Starting from scratch
This may be the first time you are setting up a routine test on your electrical appliance. There is nothing to be concerned about as our engineers will do everything for you.
All you need to know is roughly how many items you have that require testing. We will produce a quote using the quantity of items you have provided. However; should there be more or less items we will amend the invoice you accordingly. Once the PAT Testing service is complete we will email you a full inventory of items tested along with a PAT Test certificate.
What is a Portable Electrical Appliance?
A portable electrical appliance is an electrical appliance that can be moved when in use. This also includes any appliance that can easily be moved from one place to another – items such as a vacuum cleaner, toaster, food mixer, laptop, etc.
