Electrical Remedial Work

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) assesses the safety of an installation. Where certain defects or damage is observed, which typically means remedial works is needed. Any areas of non-compliance are given a code and each defect code has a particular meaning:

  • Code 1 – Danger present – risk of injury and immediate remedial action required
  • Code 2 – Potentially dangerous – urgent remedial action required
  • Code 3 – Improvement recommended

The regulations state that if a defect is recorded, “it’s an issue that should be dealt with.” This remedial work should therefore be undertaken within an appropriate period of time. This is where we can help with a trustworthy and speedy service. Our electrical contracting team will advise you on the best and most cost-efficient method to ensure total safety.
